Save the date. The next drive-thru medication collection will be held on Saturday, April 25 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the Wilde Lake Village Center near the Swim Center and Slayton House. Once again, 100 medication storage boxes will be given away.
Bring your unwanted and expired prescription and over-the-counter medications. We even take pet medications! Cleanout your home to keep your loved ones safe.

Student, adult, and medically-trained volunteers are needed. Students may earn Community Service Hours if all forms are properly completed.

Thank you for attending our medication collection on Saturday, October 25, 2025. Our volunteers collected 1,125 lbs. of medication (47 bins) in 4 hours and distributed 107 medication storages boxes. Enjoy the event slideshow!

At HC DrugFree’s drive-thru collections, we take all prescription and over-the-counter medication, vapes (without batteries), inhalers, and more. Also, Howard County has 4 medication disposal boxes FOR PILLS ONLY at police sites:
- Northern Police District Station, 3410 Courthouse Drive, Ellicott City, 21043
- Southern District Station, 11226 Scaggsville Road, Laurel, 20723
- Gary Arthur Community Center, 2400 Route 97, Cooksville, 21723 (Call the Center to confirm if accepting medication.)
- Community Outreach Building, 10741 Little Patuxent Parkway, Columbia, 21044. (During COVID, may not accept medication.)
Do NOT put sharps (needles, syringes, and EpiPens) in Police boxes. Thank you for keeping us all safe.
